Jazz for life - help save internet radio

SaveTheStreams banner 1

We're in trouble here, folks - Congress and the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) are demanding that US-based internet broadcasters pay a royalty rate that exceeds 100% of most webcasters' total revenues. I can't afford this - nobody can, except for big conglomerates like Clear Channel. (Note: I'm paying royalties now, via Live365.com, and have no problem with doing so - it's the drastic price hikes that I'm questioning.)

Audio services like Pandora and Fine Tune will be shut down if we don't do something to save them. So will companies like Live365.com, which hosts my audio and streams my broadcast. Even National Public Radio's webcasts are under threat.

If you care about your listening choices - and if you would like to see artists continue to benefit from getting airplay and PR from small/independent broadcasters - please head to Save the Streams.org to read more and to sign the petition to keep internet radio alive. If we don't act, we'll have only ourselves to blame.

With all this in mind, I've just uploaded a new show, featuring jazz (and some other kinds of music) by artists who are never programmed by commercial stations. Please take a few minutes to help support internet radio.

And thank you so much for listening!
